Academics

For twenty years, Dr. Dweck, author of the book Mindset and developer of the course Brainology, has shown that “the view you adopt for yourself profoundly affects the way you lead your life.”  Her research has led to the development of the fixed and growth mindset. She writes that, “believing that your qualities are carved in stone — the fixed mindset — creates an urgency to prove yourself over and over.” The growth mindset asserts “that a person’s true potential is unknown (and unknowable); that it’s impossible to foresee what can be accomplished with years of passion, toil, and training.”

Our vision for our student-athletes is that through passion, toil, and training they would begin to discover and develop their true potential both academically and on the tennis court.
